noun—trademarked term (plural: REALTORS)

A real estate broker or salesperson who is a member of CREA.

A broker or salesperson can be legally licensed as a real estate agent in Ontario without being a member of CREA.

Membership in CREA grants an agent the right to use the MLS system and to place the Realtor designation beside their name.

In return, CREA members must abide by the Realtor Code of Conduct and any other membership rules.

(The word REALTOR, as well as the symbol of a stylized letter R in a square, are trademarks of CREA.)
