Winter Maintenance

Posted October 15th, 2008 under renovations and repairs.

Winter is around the corner! The most important chores to do around the house are your seasonal furnace check-up, plus replacing the filter, making sure your humidifier works properly, and of course turning off your outside water taps.

When the weather permits, take a quick look at the eaves troughs to make sure they are not clogged with leaves. Run-off from melting snow on your roof can be as plentiful as rain. Also check that the eaves are secured to the fascia properly, as ice buildup can be damage them.

Got a question about maintaining your home's value? Just ask me, I'll be happy to help.
