May 2008: Market Update
Posted May 15th, 2008 under market updates.
The spring market had barely begun, and now it appears it is already ending. Although April's figures were higher than last April, May is turning into a softer-selling month than expected, and so the overall market seems to be slowing its pace.
However, prices are still strong, and not expected to soften. Another reduction of interest rates, which has been “semi-promised” for the near future, would help keep the market steady. Don't expect great price rises for the remainder of this year, but in reality this is a blessing in disguise for the first-time buyer.
