November 2007: Market Update
Posted November 15th, 2007 under market updates.
Sales have remained steady during the fall market. There have been no major changes in interest rates, and prices have climbed very slowly. Though the market is healthy overall, there are some troubling signs in the condo apartment sector, where builders are in danger of saturating the market with too much supply. Those looking to invest in the apartment market may want to investigate further. With a doubled land transfer tax coming to Toronto in February 2008, it would not surprise me to see more buyers looking outside Toronto. This could start the trend of builders absorbing the land transfer tax to attract buyers back to Toronto, which would signal the start of price reductions.
