Spring Repairs

Posted February 15th, 2006 under renovations and repairs.

Spring cleaning time is one of the best times to take stock of your home's state of repair. Go around the house and make a list of all the little things. Be critical. Pay special attention to problems such as noisy door hinges, worn light switches and receptacles, overcrowded storage areas, door handles that don't operate properly, and fingermarks at the edges of doors and walls. Does the carpet need cleaning?

Once you have the list completed, choose a few repairs items for each week, and make sure they get done. Give yourself enough time for each repair, but stick to your list and complete all items. Once you have organized your repairs, you will find it easier than starting without a specific plan.
