November 2010: A slow but stable market
Posted November 28th, 2010 under market updates.
The fall market is almost over, and looking back, it didn't really take off as expected. Sales for the last three months have been below last year's totals for the same time.
However, new listings have also lagged behind last year's over the same period, which means the market has essentially remained balanced. (There has been a slight favour toward sellers.)
This situation was likely caused by our continued low interest rates. The question is, has this created an artificially high-priced market? At the moment, all indications are that we will continue to have a stable price structure. The winter months will tell us more.
