May 2010: The Summer Market is Approaching
The summer market is approaching, and normally we experience a slowdown of sales at this time. So far, probably because of the renewed lowering of long-term mortgage interest rates this month, the market remains at almost full strength and prices are still creeping up. Barely, but nevertheless, upward.
However, we also have a rising incidence of asking-price reductions, which are an indicator that the peak has been reached. This is a very confusing situation for both sellers and buyers alike.
